WHEN Donald J. Trump removed himself from the Republican debate last week and threw a huge public relations party for himself, he did what many politicians before him have done: He cynically used United States military veterans to elevate his own political standing. His alt-rally, called a “Special Event to Benefit Veterans Organizations,” held in Des Moines, was the type of circus we’ve come to expect from the former reality TV star turned politician.

Thankfully, the candidate stopped short of ring leading a few acts under his big top — no Marines on the overhead trapeze, Navy SEALs balancing balls on their noses or Special Forces walking the tightrope.

The circus had nothing to do with those who serve this country; we know that he was sticking it to Fox News and the “mean” moderator Megyn Kelly. But like many before him, Mr. Trump saw an opportunity and seized it.

I think this effects us because if Donald Trump supports the troops but why does he compare them to a circus?

Another reason Trump should NOT be president.

And so it is for many of us at this time of year, after we’ve been immersed in the emotional highs surrounding the joys of Christmas and celebration of a new year. It’s a time many of us are struggling to return to the “real world” with alarm clocks and deadlines, bills to pay and — wait! Where did all the pretty twinkly lights go?

While the meaning of Christmas is best explained by the story of the birth of Christ in the book of Luke, we also appreciate these words from “A Christmas carol”But I am sure I have always thought of Christmas-time, when it has come round…its a good time to be chartible”

This effects me because even though The month of December is one of the lonliest times of year i think qw should stay Christmasy all year long.

CLIFTON, N.J. – Police have detained five New Jersey fifth-graders for allegedly plotting to attack a high school during a field trip.The students from School 11 in Clifton were detained on Wednesday.Police say they brought a device to school and were planning on using it during a field trip to Clifton High School. The device was later determined to be non-explosive.Authorities say the students were caught when teachers and administrators found written plans on how the alleged attack would occur. The school then contacted police.The students were released into their parents’ custody later Wednesday. All five have been suspended. No criminal charges have been filed at this point. The investigation is ongoing.

This effects me because if she would have died then it would be another family suffering and my mom shot her self with a ak 47 In these 351 days I’ve learned it sucks not having that one person there on Christmas morning,on your birthday,on their birthday on the days where you just don’t know what to do anymore … This will be my first thanksgiving without my mom but im sure it will be rough so as these holidays come around hug your loved ones and tell them how much you love them because at 11:33 you could be texting them how you want them to bring you lunch and by 11:41 they could be gone.i really wish that gun didn’t fire

MULDROW, Okla – A memorial service has been set for the first American soldier to die in combat against the Islamic State group in Iraq.

Agent Funeral Home says the service honoring Master Sgt. Joshua Wheeler will be held Nov. 24 in the eastern Oklahoma town of Muldrow, where Wheeler went to high school.

Junior, Cam’ron Matthews collapses after complaining about dizziness during a football game on 10-16-15 then he was airlifted to a Tyler hospital where he was pronounced dead around 6 pm on Saturday evening…

This affects me because it could happen to anyone… And it makes me realize even more how short our life is so always tell people how much you care for them because that could be the last time you ever see them.. This is very relatable because I feel like once I become friends with someone,i become very clingy and I feel like they don’t want anything to do with me anymore. In a Monday night meeting, city council members voted to take down the sign, That read “Jesus welcomes you to hawkins”
It all started in Hawkins when the sign was first put up around June then you started seeing them all around East Texas… Because it violated the separation of church and state they got asked to take it down

Being a Christian and living in east Texas this affects me because people are allowed to fly confederate flags but anything that mentions Jesus is apparently wrong

Because of the phenominal test scores,RRHS is starting a new policy. On January 20th the high school will start having an open campus lunch,which means everyone except freshman will get an extra 10 minutes added on to their lunch period.

Walmart has just announced that in May of 2006,Rockhill will be recieving a Super Walmart.Many cumminity members feel like this is a bad idea because it could hurt the buisnesse’s already in rock hill and it could hurt finaculbudgets.
